Preparation Verse: 2 Timothy 3:16-17

16. All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness;

17. so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Do you remember that last week we talked about the fact that we are saved by the grace of God to do the good works that He desires us to do?

In our preparation verses for this morning Paul is telling Timothy and us two other important things:

First, that even though the scriptures of the Bible were written many years ago, they are still capable of helping us today, and…

Secondly, that we must use teaching and learning to become the righteous men, women, and children of God who desire in their hearts and souls to do everything that the Lord desires us to do.

And this brings us to another important Bible verse: Hebrews 4:12 –

12. For the word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

If the word of God, the Bible, is living and active, it means that it can be applied to the life situations and problems of today, just as it was in the past.

And because of this, it is also able to judge – yes, judge – the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

With this in mind, let’s look at a few other Bible passages and see how they could be used in healing our corrupted world.

First, let’s look at Psalm 130:1-8.

1. Out of the depths I have cried to You, O LORD.

2. Lord, hear my voice!
    Let Your ears be attentive
To the voice of my supplications.

There are a lot of people who are doing this every day for a number of reasons.

We’ve been doing this every day, and asking the Lord to help us be more effective in our ministry to end the corruption of creation and to free more than 50 billion animals and many humans that suffer and die every year; and that if people aren’t going to listen, then to return now and bring it to an end.

3. If You, LORD, should mark iniquities,
    O Lord, who could stand?

Think about it; if every person in the world who has ever been the cause of another living being to suffer and/or die, then probably no one could stand, for we are all guilty.

4. But there is forgiveness with You,
    That You may be feared.

If anyone is truly sorry for what they have done, and truly desires to do everything in their power to live in God’s heavenly will, then the Lord is faithful to forgive them.

5. I wait for the LORD, my soul does wait,
And in His word do I hope.

6. My soul waits for the Lord
    More than the watchmen for the morning;
Indeed, more than the watchmen for the morning.

Then the psalmist turns his prayer toward his own nation, just as we should, that our nation would repent of all the evil it has done and be redeemed.

7. O Israel, hope in the LORD;
For with the LORD there is lovingkindness,
And with Him is abundant redemption.

8. And He will redeem Israel
    From all his iniquities.

This is just one example of how we are to apply the Bible messages in our lives today.

Now, let’s take a look at Mark 5:21-43, and see how it applies to us today.

21. When Jesus had crossed over again in the boat to the other side, a large crowd gathered around Him; and so He stayed by the seashore.

22. One of the synagogue officials named Jairus came up, and on seeing Him, fell at His feet

23. and implored Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter is at the point of death; please come and lay Your hands on her, so that she will get well and live.”

Do we have this kind of faith?

Are we willing to make the changes necessary to bring about the healing that God has prepared beforehand?

We know that diseases like adult-onset diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and many cancers can be reversed, healed, and prevented, if we eliminate all animal products and eat unprocessed, low fat, whole plant foods that were prepared for us way back in Eden and are available to all of us in abundance today.

We just have to be willing to do it, so perhaps our prayers today should be to ask the Lord to give us the heart-felt desire and ability to stick to such a wonderful diet.

Think about this event in the terms we have just been discussing, as we continue:

24. And He went off with him; and a large crowd was following Him and pressing in on Him.

This would be like us on our journey to complete healing on our whole plant food diet.

And what could be the results?

Hopefully, others would want to follow our lead.

25. A woman who had had a hemorrhage for twelve years,

26. and had endured much at the hands of many physicians, and had spent all that she had and was not helped at all, but rather had grown worse—

We have seen this happen to so many people with curable diseases, that we cannot count them.

And unfortunately very few of them are willing to listen to the simple, no cost solutions that are right at their fingertips every time they go to the market.

Will the faith of this religious leader and this woman with the hemorrhage lead them to a healing?

Let’s go on and see.

27. after hearing about Jesus, she came up in the crowd behind Him and touched His cloak.

28. For she thought, “If I just touch His garments, I will get well.”

29. Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of her affliction.

30. Immediately Jesus, perceiving in Himself that the power proceeding from Him had gone forth, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My garments?”

31. And His disciples said to Him, “You see the crowd pressing in on You, and You say, ‘Who touched Me?’”

32. And He looked around to see the woman who had done this.

33. But the woman fearing and trembling, aware of what had happened to her, came and fell down before Him and told Him the whole truth.

34. And He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has made you well; go in peace and be healed of your affliction.”

She has enough faith to simply touch the fringe of the Lord's garment to be healed.

If only the millions of chronically ill people in this world would have enough faith to eat God's Genesis diet, they too would most likely be healed.

35. While He was still speaking, they came from the house of the synagogue official, saying, “Your daughter has died; why trouble the Teacher anymore?”

36. But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, said to the synagogue official, “Do not be afraid any longer, only believe.”

37. And He allowed no one to accompany Him, except Peter and James and John the brother of James.

38. They came to the house of the synagogue official; and He saw a commotion, and people loudly weeping and wailing.

39. And entering in, He said to them, “Why make a commotion and weep? The child has not died, but is asleep.”

40. They began laughing at Him. But putting them all out, He took along the child’s father and mother and His own companions, and entered the room where the child was.

We have thousands of churches with mostly learned clergy, and most of them have read or heard that a whole unprocessed plant food diet could heal most of the ailments of the members of their congregations.

Unfortunately most of them are laughing at the suggestion of not eating any animal products; thus they and the people in their churches remain sick.

And I strongly believe they are like those that Jesus put out of the house.

Let’s go on and see what happened.

41. Taking the child by the hand, He said to her, “Talitha kum!” (which translated means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”).

42. Immediately the girl got up and began to walk, for she was twelve years old. And immediately they were completely astounded.

43. And He gave them strict orders that no one should know about this, and He said that something should be given her to eat.

Jesus left the miracle of healing here on earth for all of us; we only need to accept it by faith, and eat a compassionate plant food diet.

It’s really strange that we have enough faith to turn on a switch and expect the lights to go on, or turn on a faucet and expect water to come out; yet most of us lack the faith to at least try the plant food that God prepared for us from the beginning.

And in addition, what is the source of their blood-lust for the tortured remains of billions of animals?

It definitely isn’t from God.

Where is their faith to live by God’s heavenly will where there is no pain nor death nor mourning?

Let’s go on and look at what Paul told the Corinthians and us about living in faith, in 2 Corinthians 8:7-15.

7. But just as you abound in everything, in faith and utterance and knowledge and in all earnestness and in the love we inspired in you, see that you abound in this gracious work also.

A truly gracious work is one that causes no pain, suffering, or death.

Shouldn’t the church be explaining this instead of working against it?

What really matters is that our faith and works are compassionate, and in God’s heavenly will.

8. I am not speaking this as a command, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity of your love also.

9. For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you through His poverty might become rich.

10. I give my opinion in this matter, for this is to your advantage, who were the first to begin a year ago not only to do this, but also to desire to do it.

11. But now finish doing it also, so that just as there was the readiness to desire it, so there may be also the completion of it by your ability.

12. For if the readiness is present, it is acceptable according to what a person has, not according to what he does not have.

Such as a soft compassionate heart.

13. For this is not for the ease of others and for your affliction, but by way of equality—

14. at this present time your abundance being a supply for their need, so that their abundance also may become a supply for your need, that there may be equality;

15. as it is written, “HE WHO gathered MUCH DID NOT HAVE TOO MUCH, AND HE WHO gathered LITTLE HAD NO LACK.”

This is also a perfect example of how a loving person lives.

No matter how much love we receive from God and share with everyone in need, we never lack any for ourselves.

Love is like the Word of God that always inspires us to good works.

Fear holds back the truth; love shares it all.

And this kind of perfect love will heal us all.

Amen.
