On Nov 14, Bill Conners twice refers to hunters as "sportsman."
How can that be when the "adversary" does not know the "rules of the game" or
even that one is taking place?
He also stated that "There are a remarkable
number of leaves left on the trees and this is not really conductive to good
deer hunting". It seems hunters want all the odds in their favor. On Nov 15
the Journal states that number of New York State Hunting licenses dropped
from 771,196 in 1991 to 692,000 in 2002. This is still a huge number of
people who enjoy killing for fun. May their numbers continue to decrease.
