Saturday June 7 -
We are having a dinner at Cafe Gabriel on John Street in Kingston. We
have done this before and the food and socialization is always very
enjoyable. $39 per person. Outstanding vegan menu - Middle Eastern
appetizer plate, soup, choice of Latin combo or Jamacian Plate ( you may
have either toru, tempeh or seitan with either entre). Bring you own
wine or beer if desired. Dessert is on us - we are doing a vegan dessert
contest, so, if you wish, bring a vegan dessert with your recipe. 25 is
about all the cafe will hold, so reservations are a must. 845.876.2626
or rsvp@mhvs.org.
Join the VanAlstines, Nancy Gordon, Luella Winne, RobinHenderson and
Nate Williams and others in attending this event.
There is a great event coming up that would be wonderful for MHVS
members to attend, we could march with a banner and have some fun.
There are Metro North trains that go right to the parade location, round
trip is about $25 (from Poughkeepsie)
Please RSVP to
rockinrobin0705@gmail.com if you are interested in attending
this as a group with MHVS. We do not have to go and leave at the same
time but it would be more of an "event" if we did :) More plans for
dinner and or lunch can be made once there is an idea of who would be
going.
Saturday June 28 - 12-6 PM
MHVS will be preparing and selling food at the Catskill Animal
Sanctuary's Annual Shindig. This is a wonderful event where you can tour
the sanctuary, meet the animals, staff and volunteers, hear good music
and speakers and support them further by buying our delicious veggie
wraps, pasta salad and desserts galore. Many volunteers need to do this
right.
RSVP to all events by calling 845.876.2626 or send
us an e-mail
rsvp@mhvs.org
We look forward to
hearing from you
