What’s Cooking?

Cooking classes by MHVS member Santha Cooke Whole Food - Whole People classes and feasts begin at 4 PM and end at 7 PM. $10 for each class. Reservations are required in advance.

SUNDAY, SEPT. 23 Late Summer Variations. Make the most of late summer vegetables, while using basic ingredients in several different ways to cook quickly and efficiently.

SUNDAY, OCT. 21 Harvest Bounty. Transition to Warming Foods. Autumn Vegetables and whole grains prepare us for the change to come.

SUNDAY, NOV. 11 A Passage to India. Warming spices make this cuisine ideal for the cold gray time of year.

SUNDAY, DEC. 2 Potluck Party & Alumni Reunion. Dance, dance, dance! An open house gathering for new and old friends. Details to follow.

How to Fool Your Fat Genes Workshop

Want to zip up your genes before the holidays? Our own Nutrition Advisor, Roberta Schiff, will be giving her wonderful workshops again this year at Rhinebeck Health Foods Stores. The first session is free, so you are welcome to try it first to see if you like it. Sessions are on five consecutive Tuesday evenings starting October 16. $60 for all.
