October 1, Friday, 6 pm – Potluck in Kingston to celebrate World Vegetarian Day. The Mid-Hudson Vegetarian Society is lending a hand with a potluck by the Seventh Day Adventist Church at 24 West Union Street. Details will be posted on the website www.MHVS.org

October 2, Saturday – Information table at the Benedictine Hospital Alternative Health Fair to be held at Ulster County Community College. Milton Mills, M.D., will be one of the keynote speakers. Again, volunteers are needed. Check the website for details.

October 9, Saturday, 10 am - 5 pm – The Mid-Hudson Vegetarian Society will have a table at the Earth Charter event at SUNY, New Paltz. The display will emphasize the environmental reasons for being vegetarian. Call 845•339•1580 to volunteer and for more information.

October 10, Sunday, 1:30 pm – Board meeting in Kingston, RSVP at 845•338•8223.

October 23, Saturday, 6 pm – Restaurant outing.  There will be a vegan dinner at Nick's Italian restaurant (Route 32) in Cairo, NY. $20 per person for a full course meal. A few short videos will be shown on Nick’s big screen. RSVP to 845•339•1580 or 845•876•2626.

October 24, Sunday, 1-4 pm – Cooking class with Maribeth Abrams at the Milan Town Hall. See the website for details. Members enjoyed Maribeth at Summerfest and so asked her to come from Connecticut to share her talents. Reservations are necessary.

November 7, Sunday, 1:30 pm – Board meeting in Palenville. Call 518•678•2003 to RSVP.

November 25, Thursday, 1:30 pm – Thanksgiving Feast at the Milan Town Hall. It will be a potluck, but the Society supplies the relishes, beverages and stuffing that has never been inside a bird. See details on the website. Reservations absolutely required by Nov. 11.  Call 845•338•8223 or 518•828•0972.

December 12, Sunday 1:30 pm – Board meeting in Rhinebeck.  Call the office at 845•876•2626.

December 26, Sunday – Holiday potluck at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Catskills in Kingston. Open microphone entertainment. Call 845•876•2626 for details.

January 1, 2005, Saturday – New Year's celebration potluck.  Welcome the New Year in Germantown at a lovely private home overlooking the Hudson. Feast on Paul’s legendary apple pancakes. See website or call 845•876•2626 for details.
