Membership Report
By Judi Gelardi
Our membership is continuing to grow. Following our
Meat-Out event in March, we have added another five new members to our
group. I would like to welcome Samantha Mullen, Lydia Diaz, Mary Ann
Hoffman (no relation to Frank and Mary), Lucia Carillo and Sativa
Haserman. One member, Clarissa Fallis, joined us at the Earth Day fair
sponsored by Rhinebeck Reformed Church. Three new members upon meeting
us at the Hudson Valley Green Fair, April 26, in Rhinebeck: Meg Peak,
Jamie O'Neil and Barbara Chapman. Two additional new members also joined
in April: Betsy Jacaruso and Karen Whitton. Thanks and welcome to all. I
would also like to remind those who haven't already renewed for this
year, to please do so. We would like to have all our membership renewals
begin at the start of each year. This will make the recording of members
much more efficient. Thanks for all your support.
Karma Road offers MHVS discount
Karma Road, a vegan deli at 11 Main Street, New Paltz,
has joined the list of merchants offering discounts to MHVS members
(10%). They offer healthy smoothies, hearty sandwiches (like the tempeh
Rueben) and satisfying soups.
