Membership report
by Judi Gelardi
As our Membership Chairperson, I would like to take
this space to welcome our new members. As people drop out of our group
(for various reasons) it is very important that we all keep trying to
increase our membership by encouraging friends and acquaintances to join
us at our different events. That seems to be the most effective way to
recruit new members.
In 2007 we added 33 new members to our group,
including Helen Nickerson, Christian Cullen (who joined as a life
member), Peggy Jane Houlihan, Joyce Greenberg, Marjorie Yablon, Susan
and Zane Christofferson, Jeff and Agnes Monkash, Mimi and Dave Fix, Mike
and Mary Kovach, Harold Weber, Lorraine Cates, Dr. Marc Levine, Sam
Baker, Joanne and David Gelb, Trish Kelly, Jane Curran, Cathy Rubsam and
Siobhan, Robin Henderson and Nathan Williams, Elena Lonning, Melissa
Bamford, Michelle and John Garesche, Rosalyn Marcus and Bob Faber.
So far this year we have added another six, including
Joanne Robinson-Taylor, Karen Hinderstein, Lisa Maffucci, Ralph Schmidt,
Eli Cohen and Barbara Stemke. Our new members have helped to keep the
group vibrant by adding their ideas and talents. Together we can all
support MHVS in its pursuit of compassion for all living beings. We
welcome you all.
