It be a wake-up call?
27 Million pounds of Turkey meat
Suddenly it's not such a treat
If you get the disease called Lysteria
It's not sweet like sitting under the vine of wisteria
It can sicken, it can kill
Pilgrim's Pride must be concerned about their insurance bill
While most are bothered by a disruption of their lunch or snack
We vegans and animal righters are quite taken aback
That concern for the welfare of the animals is something people often lack
This flurry of panic soon will pass, just another old story
Cold cuts will again be thought benign, not nasty, not gory.
