Here, Kitty, Kitty
Poetry By Anthony James

Here, Kitty, Kitty

I just licked myself spotless,
the whole day tonguing fur-
having licked every last one
my eyes were a blur!

I strolled along,
sang a song-
hoping for a compliment or two-

twas heading for the yard,
where many digs I hid-
and buried little crawlers
for running, when they did!

it was a day like every other,
the weather was very nice,
but when I saw what I saw
my tail puffed once, twice, thrice!

was a thousand plus
staggering struts.

of an endless mob of
Zombie Mice!
