Protest to close down Green Hill Beagle Breeding lab in Italy

This protest is a follow up to the May 8th international day of action against vivisection and for the closure of beagle breeder Green Hill (owned by Marshall Bioresources Inc) when demos were held in front of Italian embassies and consulates all over the world.

The Italian government is considering legislation that would end the breeding of lab animals in their country.

**What happened on april 28th?
An historic day for the animal rights movement!

During a march with more than 1,000 people, a large group of protestersclimbed over the fences and entered the compound of Green Hill, opening the sheds and freeing at least 30 dogs in an open act of liberation. The protesters' cries of happiness and applause as well as the support this action is getting on a national and international level - even in the media - is a milestone for the end of the idea that animals can be used in lab tests.

Saturday, May 26
1 pm

Central Park West and 88th Street

Join this coliation of animal rights groups as we commemoriate National Day of Mourning for Animals in laboratories in new York City at the home of various notorious vivisectors.

Please be on time as we will not be staying at this location. Wear comfortable walking shoes or bring a Metro card for the bus if you would rather not walk.

On this day we memorialize the countless millions of animals who have lost their lives in vivisection labs across our country. We take action in the memory of the beagles and primates, the mice and the rats, ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, birds, fish and farm animals who have been killed for our fraudulent science.

Afterwards, we will be moving our protest to the hack line at 59th & 5th Avenue where we will be standing up for the poor overworked carriage horses.
