Stop Animal
Exploitation NOW!
Newsletters AR2002 Every year activists from across the United States gather in Washington, D.C. for a national animal rights conference, AR2002. Hundreds of people come together to be updated on vital campaigns, learn about crucial issues, and receive training from movement professionals. Michael A. Budkie, Executive Director of SAEN, will be presenting parts of four different workshops at the AR2002 conference. An activist with fifteen years of movement experience, Mr. Budkie has expertise in dealing with the media, investigating research laboratories, and campaign organization. Mr. Budkie will participate in the following workshops: Researching on the Internet (a workshop designed to teach activists how to utilize internet resources for various kinds of investigations), Research Campaigns I (a campaign update presentation covering projects like the Procter & Gamble Boycott, World Laboratory Animal Liberation Week, etc.), Abusing Our Cousins (explores the various abuses perpetrated on non-human primates), and Running Effective Events (discusses the organizing of events from media to objectives). SAEN will also have a literature table at the conference, which we will share with The Animals Voice, an online magazine. Fact sheets, petitions, and other resources will be available at the table. If you are attending the conference, please stop by to say hello.
