Experiencing - Keys to the Kingdom Article Series
From The Caring Heart with Dr. Joyce from Spokane Washington

“They are not part of this world anymore than I am.” (John 17:16)

“I have given them the glory you gave me – the glorious unity of being one, as we are – I in them and you in me, all being perfected into one – so that the world will know you sent me and will understand that you love them as much as you love me.” (John 17:22-23)

Living in the Kingdom of God is a state of being in which you no longer need God to remind you to love Him, others, and all of creation, you simply do. It is a wonderfully experienced state of living in His love. Great joy and happiness are felt. All the fruits of the Holy Spirit are operational, including unconditional love, deep peace, kindness, and gentleness. One has the feeling of “being on top of the world,” of being free, and of participating in another dimension or realm of reality. Words seem inadequate to describe such a state, but terms such as clearness, transcendence, and transparence might contribute to a description. Kingdom people seek the simple clearness of real truth and do not shrink from it. Life is interesting. People know what they really stand for. Because of the prevalence of positive emotional states, physical health and healing are noticeably enhanced.

We have a deep sense of security and an assurance that our lives are meaningful. We have intrinsic self-esteem, knowing we are precious children of the Father. We are valued irrespective of what we possess or of how we may have “messed up” our lives in earlier years. There is no pressure, or feeling that we have to hurry with anything, because all eternity is before us.. We feel exceedingly humble, being quite aware that we are residing in the Kingdom only by the grace of God, and that continued progress, including our capacity to listen to, obey, and learn from God can be lost, should we drift away.

Interpersonally, the Kingdom is a place where friends are true friends. They are truly loving and bonded to one another, considerate, and keep commitments as much as possible. They relate in truth, telling no lies, and having no deceptions. Empathetic transmission is ongoing. One person knows what another needs, and responds accordingly, so relationships are just full of joy, and fun, too!! Two or more together in the Kingdom have more spiritual power than one alone. The fountain of love and warmth inside Kingdom people pours out to others they come in contact with. (Could this fountain possibly be akin to the “living waters” Christ was talking about?)

Communicating with animals is enhanced, due to the pureness of heart of the Kingdom residents. People feel so much gentleness, compassion, and love toward other species, they would never want to cause any kind of suffering to them or anyone. If they see a need, they dearly desire to “make it ok.”

When we live in the Kingdom we will bear great fruit!!! (Notice the condition!!!)
