caring heart. We all can and should do things to make differences of real
benefit to ourselves and to our needy world.
Keep trash and pollution to a minimum. Use items until they are really worn out, and buy only what you really need. Recycle. Lower your use of fossil fuels. Learn to have lots of fun closer to home, combine trips, etc.
Be informed and vote in favor of animal-friendly legislation. Financially support animal sanctuary and rescue groups. Cease buying factory-farmed meat, fish, and eggs. Don’t purchase articles made from animal parts, such as furs, or those involving animal research. Make sure your own pets have a healthy and happy environment. Spay and neuter. Report neglect and abuse.
Increase interest in and interaction with others. Practice more sensitivity, thoughtfulness, warmth, and kindness. Be affirming and complimentary, truly respectful, and positively responsive. Smile a lot!
Care enough about yourself to keep improving really healthy nutrition – eliminate junk and refined, processed foods, buy as much fresh, organic food as possible, take supplements and do whatever else it takes to support a well-nourished, pollution-free, disease-free body. Get regular, appropriate exercise.
- Make changes as you think of them and can implement them. Keep going, but don’t overwhelm yourself. Make positive change a routine part of your lifestyle.
- Use the above ideas and go on from there. Work on efforts that reasonably fit into your lifestyle, abilities, and interests.
- Be patient. Creating quality takes time. If you get distracted, continue again as soon as possible, and you will be pleased with the results and feel good about yourself.
