Dairy Substitute Recipes
Makes 3 cups
This comes from Simply Heavenly: The Monastery
Vegetarian Cookbook by Abbot George Burke. Superb!
2 cups water
2 tsp. lemon juice
1/3 cup EACH Quick-Cooking Rolled Oats & Nutritional Yeast
1/4 cup arrowroot powder
1/4 tsp. EACH Italian seasoning & garlic powder
1 1/2 tsp. EACH sea salt & onion powder
3 Tbsp. Tahini
Combine everything in a blender or food processor.
Whip for a minute, then transfer the entire contents into a pan. Heat
over medium-high heat, and stir vigorously until it gets thick (a whisk
