Seitan  that’s out ‘o sight!
Whether you make your own from scratch (see “How to Make Seitan”), use a “Quick Mix,” or purchase it already prepared (and maybe even seasoned) at your natural food store, here’s a simple yet tasty way to enjoy it:

Tasty Seitan Sauté
Serves 2

8 oz. Cooked seitan, sliced thinly
1 1/2 Tbsp. sesame oil
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
1/2 tsp. onion powder
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. sea salt
Pepper to taste
1 Tbsp. whole wheat flour
1 cup water

Heat oil over medium heat. Add seitan and spices and sauté for 5 minutes, stirring.
Mix flour and water and pour over seitan. Heat for 2 minutes.

Serve hot over mashed potatoes, pasta or rice and a tossed salad.
