Winnie Pearl

Winnie Pearl: Winnie was among 3 pigs that were rescued from a former "Robinsonís Racing Pigs" vendor, who decided to keep them, unlike the majority of pigs used for this "show" who end up at the slaughterhouse. This was Winnie, Oreo and Willyís first stroke of good fortune. When their human father died, their luck had run out. The manís family was afraid of the pigs and was ready to give them to someone to be butchered when we called to inquire about their welfare.  Immediately, we went to get all three pigs.

Willie died not too long ago of cancer of the pancreas. Oreo is still living in a sanctuary and is a very beautiful and small pig available for adoption. Winnie Pearl, the luckiest of the three is living in her new home in Ohio with a lovely lady who loves her and treats her like the prissy little thing that she is! She lives in the house with her new pig friend, Newton and is still having trouble adjusting to "snow"!  Fortunately, she only has to go out in it to potty and then she can return to her comfy home!
