Pet owners need to neuter animals

Published in THE JOURNAL NEWS 11/25
(Original publication: November 25, 2004)

Thank you for your Nov. 20 article about the wonderful group of amazing people in Bedford Hills who help feral cats. As people know, overpopulation of cats is a big problem. Irresponsible pet owners who do not spay or neuter their cats and dogs are almost completely responsible for the destruction of millions innocent cats and dogs who are euthanized in shelters each year.

Thank goodness for those people who selflessly dedicate their time and money to helping out those animals who have otherwise been abandoned by society and irresponsible pet owners!
