Popularity Contest for Poop?

Letter to the Editor to NY Daily News from Mary Castrovilla
July 28, 2013

At a horse competition and family-oriented fair last fall, there were dinner-plate-sized mounds of horse manure, unavoidable on the pathways to the restrooms. On the way home from Metro-North (in a residential, upscale area), I dodged 18 piles of dog feces.

Why does society put up with dog and horse feces, but not goose poop? Where do you expect the geese to go literally and figuratively? When youre in a park, you are in the geeses home.

Scrape off your shoes and enjoy the (sub)urban parks that we are blessed to have.
