Dog Abandoned on Crippled Tanker Dies as Ship Sinks

According to CNN, A $50,000 rescue operation to save a dog left alone aboard an abandoned Indonesian oil tanker off Hawaii ended with organizers saying the ship apparently sank. Forgae, the 2 year old dog left on board a crippled tanker after its human crew was rescued, was not allowed by the Norwegian Star captain to board the Star and so the Captain of the sinking tanker, Chung Chin Po of Taiwan, had to leave his dog behind. An attempt by the Hawaiian Humane society was called off when the tanker the dog was left on, could not be found.

It is outrageous that the Captain of the Norwegian Star forced the man to leave his dog behind, and this act of cruelty to both dog and man needs to be widely publicized. PLEASE call Norwegian Lines corporate PR office at 800 327 9020 and ask for Heather Sheets. Demand to find out why this was allowed to happen, and tell them you will not be a customer of theirs as a result of this act of cruelty.

Call and complain and above all boycott...Call 1-800-327-9020, press 0 for the operator and then ask for Heather Sheets. I got her voice mail and left her a message and told her to call me back. If not, I'll call her again...please cross post everywhere!!
