Kevin's Corner

I am 26 years old. I am planning on attending a family Christmas dinner and have many fears: Will they try to force me to consume dead bird? Will they ever stop squawking about the lifestyle I have chosen (one of compassion for all living beings)??? My question to you, Kevin, is this: What can I do or bring with me to the event that I could eat and maybe share with others...... I know that if the meat eaters could just TRY some delicious vegan food, they would be jealous indeed.

Thanks for your assistance in this matter.

Ed Hazelwood

Well, this is a very common problem with a very simple answer. The Farm Sanctuary makes what's called a "Tofurkey," its includes a very large mock turkey stuffed with stuffing, tofu drunksticks and mash potatoes with gravies. It`s 100% vegan and its DELICIOUS. I usually eat one at least every few months, its much healthier then regular turkey, much easier to prepare and feeds as many as 5 to 6 people. I think your family would love it, if you can persuade them to try it. You can buy them at just about any health food store. If not, just ask them to order it. You'll have it by the holidays. Let me know how it turns out. OK?

Good luck.
