Linda Beane: as Editor of Animals In Print, I am totally committed to the Animal Rights cause. Locally I am a member and County Coordinator of OHEA, a statewide animals advocacy group.
I dedicate a lot of my time to helping animals that need rescuing (both domestic and wildlife). I provide vet care and temporary housing until I find nurturing, permanent homes for the domestic animals. I have a large list of Wildlife Rescue Organizations in my area and can quickly find help for disabled animals.
I believe animals are a life time commitment, our companions not property. I also believe that animals aren't commodities, aren't disposable and each one is unique and deserving to enjoy their life in the same fashion as we humans.
I have a very strong personality and many consider me to be very bold, outspoken and gutsy. In actuality I just hate to see any living creature in a vulnerable, helpless situation, human or non human. As long as I am capable I will help when I can and even when I can't. I can't tolerate abuse and arrogance, I don't bow down to anyone and my mission in life is to help those that can't help themselves. As long as I am able to work and to fight the fight, I will continue to persevere.
My best personal attribute would be my indifference to the opinion of others regarding their approval of me. This gives me the freedom to live my life making my own choices. I don't care what people think of me, I just care that they think....and hopefully they will think of the consequences of their actions on all living beings. I may burn in hell when I die but here on earth I will put out as many fires as I can.
I am also fortunate to have a life time mate that feels as I do. Larry, my husband of eight years has made it possible for me to greatly expand my work and has been a rock. He too shares my love of animals and his heart is so big and gentle. We have suffered the loss of five of our deeply loved companions in the last three years. We have suffered their loss together and in January when we unexpectedly lost two of our dear ones within three weeks of each other he really kept me from falling apart.
Thank you for taking your time to visit our website. Remember love is easy to share and you have an abundance to give, if you dare.
