Call and e-mail the Florida Division of Pari-Mutuel Wagering today, and ask the Director to open an investigation and consider revoking Ursula O'Donnell's license to work with dogs.

A few days ago, a greyhound trainer named Ursula O'Donnell was asked to leave Naples-Ft. Myers Greyhound Park after track ownership learned that she had been arrested in 2002 for felony animal cruelty and criminal conspiracy.

While we are grateful for this turn of events, the story is not yet over. We remain concerned that O'Donnell was given an occupational license by the State of Florida and allowed to work in the dog racing industry. That is why we asked the State of Florida today to open an investigation, and permanently revoke her license to work with greyhounds.

Ursula was arrested in 2002 after an alleged co-conspirator named Robert Rhodes admitted to killing thousands of greyhounds by gunshot for a $10 fee. The state of Florida conducted a thorough investigation, which uncovered a check from Ursula O'Donnell to Robert Rhodes that was apparently provided to him shortly before his arrest. However, the charges against her were dropped when Rhodes died and other witnesses refused to testify.

Even though Ms. O'Donnell escaped trial, the state has strong evidence that she participated in a conspiracy that led to the deaths of a large number of greyhounds by gunshot.

Thank you for everything you do for animals!
