From Marita Berggren - 23 May 2005

Dear Frank and Mary,

As long as we keep on justifying everything bad because of earning money, then there will be more evil acts like this. Yesterday, I made a decision of trying to eat vegetarian food. I have always been eating meat as "normal" people do, but by being vegetarian, I can make some contribution. I also show these pictures to horrified friends. They say " I don't want to see this". I say : Have a look and do something. I am not looking because I am amused, but because I get angry and sad about these terrible acts.

Are we intelligent as human beings? I think that we are evil and this is not intelligent behavior....

Love from Marita, Sweden

Reply from Frank and Mary

Dear Marita:

Thank you for responding.

Yes, we also believe that it is evil to deny the truth and hide from it, particularly when the truth exposes the suffering inflicted upon other, and where such abuse is supported by those people's money.

Intelligence, however, is not an indication of being compassionate.

If there's anything we can do to help you in your efforts, please let us know.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
