From Claude Camilleri - 1 Oct 2006

Dear Frank and Mary,

Thank you for helping me make the decision and enlightening me on the subject. My wife never ate foie gras even though she likes the taste. She said it was cruel, but there is cruel and there is cruel. What you show is evil.

I am a Christian too. And you are so right that such people claim Christianity and then go on to commit unspeakable deeds. It is what made me rethink my faith. I asked myself, Do I want to be categorised with these kind of two faced people? Do I really want to live a life so dishonest?

So now my faith in God is between me and Him. I pray to Him every day. I thank Him every day. And I act on His behalf every day.

Here in Europe we consider it bad manners to discuss politics, religion and sex in public, more so to impose your opinion on others.

Dear Claude:

Thank you very much for the follow-up comments, we appreciate your insight.

Maybe we dont understand, but in your last sentence, you comment about not speaking about religion and politics is public. If we are ever going to end the cruelty inflicted upon animals, we need to convince our religious communities and elected officials about how morally and ethically wrong it is to treat animals the way they are today, and that animals deserve the legal rights not to be used, exploited, and destroyed by humans. We see not other way to accomplish this. It must be done in both a private and a public forum.

In the Love of the Lord,

Frank and Mary
