From Vickie Pitcher - 26 Feb 2007 Something needs to be done to protect these beautiful animals.....I love raccoons and do everything possible to protect them on the highway or raising a small one that has lost a parent. These people are showing what cruel "animal" they are to torture these poor raccoon dogs. Punishment has to be done in some sort - what sadistic people!! The American people have to see what is going on to see what they can do to help. Do you know what can be done already? Is there any way that these dogs can be obtained here for pets? I would love to have one! Reply from Frank and Mary Dear Vickie: Thank you for writing. These torturers seem to be protected by the Chinese government. So we need to stir up public opinion against the torture of raccoon dogs and other animals. Please tell everyone you can, and encouraging them to do the same.
