\nSo it came about in the course of time that Cain brought an offering to the LORD of the fruit of the ground.<\/p>\n

Again, where did this idea of making an offering to the Lord come from? It certainly didn\u2019t come from God, for He has told us elsewhere that obedience is better than sacrifice.<\/p>\n

Is this simply a thank offering that He believed he should do? We simply are not told.<\/p>\n

Could it be that because of a lack of true faith, Cain did this as a way of \u201cbuying\u201d God\u2019s favor. Perhaps!<\/p>\n
