Living in the Will of God \u2013 11 Wicked People<\/h2>\n

A vital part of living in the will of God is being obedient to Him and serving Him in faith, trust, and righteousness. Also, those who live in this state of being have unlimited compassion for the whole of creation. No being is excluded, and neither is any other part of God\u2019s creation.<\/p>\n

Those who do not live this way are those of whom the Bible says, \u201c\u2026the compassion of the wicked is cruel.\u201d (Proverbs 12:10) These are the wicked people of the world whom we are to avoid and not follow or participate in the evil things they do.<\/p>\n

According to Scripture, following the Fall, the people kept getting more and more rebellious before the Lord, until He could take no more of the people\u2019s disobedience. Note what we are told in Genesis 6:5-8.<\/p>\n

5. Then the LORD saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.<\/p>\n

If we\u2019re honest with ourselves, we can see that the wicked people of this world are doing the same things all over again; this is particularly true when we consider our society\u2019s warring madness and horrible things that are being done to billions of animals every year.<\/p>\n

6. And the LORD was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart.<\/p>\n

Because of all the violence committed against animals, many people have told us that they are also sorry and grieve that humans are in this world. Not only is God grieved, but so are truly compassionate people.<\/p>\n

7. And the LORD said, “I will blot out man whom I have created from the face of the land, from man to animals to creeping things and to birds of the sky; for I am sorry that I have made them.”<\/p>\n

8. But Noah found favor in the eyes of the LORD.

Let\u2019s now take a look at what Jesus told us about the wicked people in the world today. In Matthew 24:37, we are told\u2026<\/p>\n

37. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man.
\nNIV<\/p>\n

And in Luke 17:26, we are told\u2026<\/p>\n

26. “Just as it was in the days of Noah, so also will it be in the days of the Son of Man.
\nNIV<\/p>\n

Jesus is telling us that the same things are going to happen to the wicked people of today, as did to those in the days of Noah.<\/p>\n

In 1 Peter 3:19-20, the wicked people of this world are being warned about what happened following Jesus\u2019 death upon the cross, and about their fate.<\/p>\n

19. in which also He went and made proclamation to the spirits now in prison,<\/p>\n

20. who once were disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the ark, in which a few, that is, eight persons, were brought safely through the water.
\nNASB<\/p>\n

All the wicked people of the world in the days of Noah perished in the flood, and Peter\u2019s message is telling the wicked people of today that they also will not be saved.<\/p>\n

How much better it would be for all of us if we live in the will of God and are with the Lord now and forever.<\/p>\n
