Challenging Church Compassion \u2013 09: Hearing the Truth<\/h2>\n

Many people in and out of the church resist hearing the truth because they don\u2019t want it to persuade them to change their lifestyle, which is a way of protecting their selfish attitude or ambition.<\/p>\n

To deliberately deny the truth, which is the same as saying, \u201cdon\u2019t tell me, I don\u2019t want to know,\u201d is to live a lie.<\/p>\n

This is a major problem in the church today, particularly when it comes to animal issues.<\/p>\n

Will Tuttle wrote: \u201cEven though people may resist hearing it, spreading the vegan message is the greatest gift we can give, for it is ultimately liberating for everyone. With study and practice, we can articulate it skillfully, passionately, and effectively, and help other people to understand as well!\u201d<\/p>\n

Hearing the truth is liberating for animals because they will no longer suffer under the dominance of wicked and cruel human beings.<\/p>\n

Hearing the truth is liberating for human beings because they will no longer suffer from the chronic diseases caused by eating an animal product based diet.<\/p>\n

Note what we are told in James 3:14-15.<\/p>\n

14. But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth.<\/p>\n

15. Such “wisdom” does not come down from heaven but is earthly, unspiritual, of the devil.
\nNIV<\/p>\n

In other words, not hearing the truth is of the devil.<\/p>\n

The creation and heavenly will of God is to live on a whole plant food diet that is free of any animal products; and if we do live this way, we will find that we have peace and good health in our own lives, and more peace in the world around us.<\/p>\n
