On 19 Oct 2010, Joe Pagliuso & Bros., Inc., slaughterhouse in Ontario, New York was inspected by the USDA\u2019s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS), and cited for not supplying water to animals waiting to be killed. The redacted report stated:<\/p>\n

Citation:<\/strong> HATS CATEGORY III At approximately 0710 while going out to the pens I observed the following non-compliance. There were 6 bovine in the alleyway of the pens without water. The alley way was being used as a holding pen since all other pens were full. The bovine arrived at the plant either early this morning, before 0700 hrs, or late last night, after 1800 hrs. The plant manager, could not tell me with certainty when they had arrived. After informing a plant employee, he immediately gave the animals water. Federal Regulation 9 CFR 313.2(e) states, “Animals shall have access to water in all holding pens and, if held longer than 24 hours, access to feed. There shall be sufficient room in the holding pen for animals held overnight to lie down.” This document serves as notice of non-compliance within Federal Regulation 9 CFR 313.2(e).

Truly righteous people don\u2019t put animals in a pen without water, and the fact that they only did it when a government inspector told them that it was a violation is proof to us that they lack any real empathy for the animals; for if they did, they most likely wouldn\u2019t be in this business. So by their own actions, this Bible verse confirms that they are wicked, for their lack of action is cruel.<\/p>\n

People who have compassion and empathy for the animals would also feel their pain and suffering, and do everything in their power to end it, such as exposing what happens behind closed doors at places like Joe Pagliuso & Bros.<\/p>\n
