Because everything is happening behind closed doors or out of sight at animal research laboratories and facilities, the general public rarely knows about the institutionalized animal cruelty that happens in such places as Santa Cruz Biotech.<\/p>\n

According to a federal report recently obtained by a national regional watchdog group, Stop Animal Exploitation Now http:\/\/www.saenonline.org<\/a>, Santa Cruz Biotech (SCB) has continued to flagrantly violate the Animal Welfare Act \u2013 leading to more animal deaths \u2013 and deliberately withheld information from federal inspectors about the existence of a herd of 841 animals, many of whom suffered with significant illnesses.<\/p>\n

A scathing five page USDA report dated Oct. 31, 2012 http:\/\/www.saenonline.org\/ca\/res-fr-ca-scb-insp-20121031.html<\/a> reveals the existence of a herd of 841 animals at Santa Cruz Biotech (SCB). The report states that several SCB staff had lied to federal inspectors, denying the existence of these animals. This herd included a dozen animals with unreported and untreated illnesses.<\/p>\n

A later USDA report Dec. 18, 2012 http:\/\/www.saenonline.org\/ca\/res-fr-ca-scb-insp-20121218.html<\/a> discloses even more federal violations, multiple sick animals, and the deaths of two other animals.<\/p>\n

The Bible tells us in Proverbs 12:10 that,<\/p>\n

10. A righteous man has regard for the life of his beast,
\nBut the compassion of the wicked is cruel.

The very fact that Santa Cruz Biotech lied to the USDA inspector in an attempt to hide their institutionalized animal cruelty is proof, to us, that they know full well that they are violating animal cruelty laws, which self-condemns them as being wicked, and lack compassion and righteousness.<\/p>\n

The only sure way of ending this kind of institutionalized animal cruelty is to live a healthful unprocessed plant food lifestyle, so that we don\u2019t eat any animals, or need the medical services that promote most of the suffering of animals.<\/p>\n
