ADVICE
We began this Advice section as a means of assisting our visitors in
answering many of their health and diet questions, and in encouraging them to take a
pro-active part in their own health. We believe that the information contained
herein is true, but are not presenting it as the only solution to a problem. We,
personally, have found that a vegan diet has helped our own health, and simply wish to

How to Simplify the Hallelujah Diet
Hi
I have suffered with bad health all my life , mainly asthma & allergies.
I haven't worked for two years due to severe sinus congestion with dizziness & other issues. just recently I had visited an ear nose & throat specialist,( I was unable to breath through my nose at all ) who told me I had nasal polyps & a deviated septum. He told me the only way to fix it was an operation.
After having an uncle who had just experienced this same treatment, & now having problems with eye & brain nerve function due to this procedure, I decided to pursue self-education.
I have used a combination of tissue salts & researched my vitamin & mineral deficient state and
supplemented with calcium , magnesium & other vitamin & minerals. The one most obvious polyp (completely blocked my right nostril visually) Has now disappeared but there are others but I am able to breath at time through at least one nostril, and the dizziness is almost gone, so I am gaining
positive ground with my health to some extent .
My wife & I tried the hallelujah diet twelve months ago for 4 or 5 months but we found it extremely hard & expensive to adhere to. I am now concerned that the supplements are now not a long term option, I have just gained control of my asthma by recognizing the balance between calcium & magnesium. Considering these two minerals seem to be among the foremost available minerals within plant structure relative to soil availability the raw diet is obviously the best option, but how do we simplify the hallelujah diet to suit modern day expectations of living if this could be done I'm sure more people would be able to gain God's blessing of nutrition as He intended.I eagerly await your reply
God BlessCL.

Dear C.L.:
As you might already know, most asthma and sinus problems are caused by milk and dairy products. My spouses used to have serious sinus and arthritis problems but once he learned to avoid cheese, milk, and other animal products (including fish and fowl), those problems were eliminated within 6 weeks.
Regarding your use of a combination of tissue salts, calcium , magnesium and other vitamin & mineral supplements, except for B12 we think those supplements might also be avoided. Additionally, once they are taken out of their natural context (plants) they can no longer work in synergy with the plants other vitamins and minerals and become just another toxin the body has to work hard to eliminate. Moreover, aside from making expensive urine, sometimes they impede rather than encourage health.
Re: adhering to the Hallelujah Diet, if you are referring to the very strict original diet on which Pastor Malkmus was on when he healed his cancer, that is quite strict. You might recall, however, there was no such thing as BarleyMax back then, and his condition warranted adhering to extremes until his body healed.
Also, eating as much raw, vegan food as possible is the best way to heal almost any health condition except in rare instances. With the variety of fruits and veggies, plus a little imagination (assisted by a few good recipe books), one can learn to live quite simply, healthfully, inexpensively and well satisfied.
Depending on how strict you wish your diet to be, we could recommend a few good recipe books. Check them out on our web page under Resources.
I hope the above information is helpful;-).
