ADVICE
We began this Advice section as a means of assisting our visitors in
answering many of their health and diet questions, and in encouraging them to take a
pro-active part in their own health. We believe that the information contained
herein is true, but are not presenting it as the only solution to a problem. We,
personally, have found that a vegan diet has helped our own health, and simply wish to
share with others the things we have found. Each of us must make our own decisions,
for it's our own body. If you have a health problem, see your own physician.
Question:
February 7, 2015
My name is C.J. I Am a Nigerian and I reside in Lagos.
For months now I've been looking for solutions regarding Cancer and heavy menstrual flow. I ve a twin sis which has never experienced heavy menstrual bleeding.
Am very worried and bothered since I am not financially bouyant to meet up my health conditions. This has pushed me to look for other means like natural diet to tackle my health conditions.
Please I need your advice and help on these issues.
Warm regards
JC
Reply from Gerry:
Hi CJ:
Most of our health problems are due to improper diet, many of which are recommended by reputed Health-Care "Authorities" whose professional training consisted of treating pathological problems rather than prevention.
Additionally, only 1/3rd of the medical schools offer courses on nutrition, and that is optional.
Re: "heavy menstrual flow," I think if you'll pay attention to what you eat, particularly the week BEFORE your period, and refrain from meat and dairy products and include LOTS of raw, fresh fruits and vegetables, particularly Leafy Greens, you will have much less bloating and a far lighter flow.
Also, this excerpt from Dr. John McDougall: related to children applies to adults as well:
"...the unhealthy diet rots children's teeth, scars their faces with acne, creates heavy menstrual periods and breast pain, causes them to mature precociously, and makes them constipated, fat, and smelly.
"They will learn how food choices impact their future and the environment and how a wise person does not destroy his own home (planet Earth). Finally, the osteoporosis, arthritis, heart disease and cancer they face in later years will be mentioned briefly."
