Pickle Dilly Stew
aka, Sweet N Spicy Pickle Dilly StewBase:
* 2 Roma tomatoes
* 2 medium stalks celery, quartered
* 2 small scallions
* 6 flower chives
* 1/8 cup fresh dill
* 1/2 Thai red pepper or other favorite hot pepper, to taste,
optional (start small--you can always add more later)* 1 Tablespoon raw honey or raw agave nectar (if using dried fruit
like dates or raisins just use the same amount you normally use to
make the Basic SVS)* 5 oz mature spinach (feel free to substitute your favorite
tender leafy green)Choppings: in vegetable chopper or by hand and set aside:
* 1 Roma tomato
* 1/2 large cucumber
* 1 long stalk celery
Preparation:
Prepare base by blending the tomato, cucumber and celery until
chunky. Add sweetener, the hot pepper, scallions, chives and dill
and blend again. Add the spinach in 2-3 batches and blend until
the spinach is broken up--be careful not to OVERBLEND as you want
the spinach nice and chunky.Pour base in large bowl and mixed with the "choppings"
Serve immediately
