Protest the Slaughter

Every year, fishermen in Japan hunt and kill thousands of dolphins in the most bloody and brutal way imaginable. Fishermen in port towns such as Taiji slaughter bottlenose dolphins, Risso's dolphins, and false killer whales in the largest massacre of dolphins anywhere in the world.

Join The Humane Society of the United States/Humane Society International (HSUS/HSI), the Animal Welfare Institute (AWI), and other concerned groups and individuals to help send a powerful message to the Japanese dolphin hunters and their government:

STOP THE DOLPHIN SLAUGHTER

You can help end the suffering by attending an international day of protest organized to urge the Japanese authorities to ban the slaughter of dolphins. Protests are being held worldwide at Japanese embassies and consulate offices.

Join Us on October 8, 2005 from Noon - 2:00 p.m. Please enlist your friends, neighbors, local schools, civic clubs, and colleagues; and join us at the Japanese embassy or consulate office nearest you.

The HSUS/HSI and AWI will be at the Japanese Embassy in Washington D.C. at 2520 Massachusetts Avenue, N.W. at noon on October 8.
