The Fund For Animals has reported in the Spring 2002 edition of its magazine that teens have responded favorably to the Fund’s anti-fur campaign and stated:

Hundreds of teenagers from all over the country contacted The Fund to find out what they can do to help stop the fur industry from killing millions of animals in cruel traps and on horrifying fur farms, and thousands more visited the fur resource page on our web site. (p. 6)

The National Anti-Vivisection Society (NAVS) has an incredible animal emergency assistance fund called NAVS Sanctuary Fund.

Priority Funding is given where immediate intervention is necessary to help victims of natural disasters….

Secondary Funding is a one-time grant for:

1. The relocation of animals who have been used in research facilities, roadside zoos

and the entertainment industry, to a safe, permanent sanctuary. (Rescue of exotic

pets and slaughterhouse animals are also covered.)…

2. Wildlife rehabilitation.

3. Unique and innovative approaches that alleviate or prevent animal suffering…

100% of donations to the fund goes to these services.

Physician’s Committee for Responsible Medicine Good Medicine magazine for Spring-Summer 2002 announced Avon as joining the movement of saying "no" to animal testing. Being a corporate support of breast cancer research, this is a major step in humane research and education. PCRM gives out a "Humane Seal of Approval".
