Christian Vegetarian Association Presents:
Take Heart!
A Compassionate Child

Debra Liese, writer of essays and bloger at Psychology Today, shares the experience of raising a daughter who chose to embrace a vegetarian lifestyle at the age of 4 after being read the popular book "Charlotte's Web." Her daughter's empathy to all beings and her decision to refuse to look away will tug at readers hearts, and hopefully encourage them to also make compassionate choices.

Children have an innate sense of compassion and empathy, and parents have the moral responsibility of encouraging those traits. In fact, encouraging those traits also reflect the faith of Christ, a faith centered on compassion, mercy and love.
