Let us be real here, Man claimed that God demand animal sacrifice. In those days, the collection plate did not fill up, and few people had money. The priest would claim that God demands an animal to be killed and cooked (burnt offering), and the priest had dinner.

God is love and is the life and soul that is in every being, why would God rejoice in any being being killed on the alter? How does killing and spilling of blood make sin be washed away? Killing is sin, it is the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Only by killing did the knowledge of evil become known.
The God that I love never wanted an innocent being to be killed and eaten to please Him.
