They Ever Be in Harmony?

Jim,
I agree, from the perspective of the horses - the civil war and every war
involving horses were unjust. Unless, of course, we determine that it was
necessary to sacrifice the lives of those horses for some hypothesized
greater good. And if that is true, then are there perhaps still reasons
enough to sacrifice yet more non-humans for humanity's greater good today?
