In Reference to: Chicory (Cichorium intybus)
Dear Mr. Hoffman,
I wanted to share and also say thank you for creating that site. This morning was unlike any. The sun had shone on my shoulder as if mother nature herself was watching over me and I kept smiling. I haven't done that in a long time. Also, one of my most favorite visions is the chicory flower. I believe your quote on the last pic is so true. On this morning's ride I just smiled having stopped at this one red light where I had time to catch a glimpse of chicory growing along the side of the road.
It's sad though, lately I'm watching so much beauty disappear. Truth is, that chicory won't be there next year. They are building more homes or cardboard boxes as I'd like to call them.
In fact, I used to live at a boarding kennel where visions seemed to grow everywhere. A wonderful place. Unfortunately, the woman who owned it passed away. It was bought up on Sheriff's sale and now they want to take all 10 acres down and sell it off. Sad. I wish I knew a way to save all that beauty and care for the animals. But, just knowing someone like you is out there makes me rest at peace.
Once again, thank you.
Lovingly yours,
Jennifer
