In Reference to: Spice Bush - Flowering Trees, Bushes and Shrubs of Sleepy Hollow Lake
I googled the above and found your site with your wonderful detailed photos. Thanks you so much for the great job. It is helpful to me as I look at my own tiny flowers. I am especially impressed with your closeups showing the flowers' transparency. Quite interesting.
We do get lots of spicebush and other swallowtail butterflies here where we live in the Rocky Broad River Gorge of Western NC, and I've read that the spicebush is a host plant. Do you know what part of the plant nourishes the larvae?
