A thoroughly researched speech on vegetarian ethics by Irene Casey of
the Catholic Study Circle for Animal Welfare was well received by a
meeting of Christians in Liverpool's Polytechnic in November. A debate
after the speech, which embraced all aspects of animal liberation gave
those present much to consider, especially just before the slaughter of
millions of animals for the then forthcoming Christmas festivities.
