Fasting Over Yuletide

From The Vegan (Winter 1989)

Two members of the Animal Rights Education Network, Glasgow will be fasting for a minimum of seven days commencing Christmas Eve outside Porton Down Chemical Defence Establishment, Salisbury, Wiltshire.

They will carry out a peaceful demonstration throughout the fast and hope to raise awareness at a time when over-indulgence by humans and the abuse of animals is at its peak. At the same time they will be raising money for local and national groups. If you are in the area why not pay them a morale-boosting visit?
