A letter to whom it may concern,

I live in the unincorporated area of Los Angeles County in California. I have always been an animal lover, and I have always tried my best to protect the ones that I can.

Over the years I have rescued around 60+ dogs from the streets and a handful of cats. My routine was always the same: take them in, clean them up, get their vaccines and check for a microchip. I would then have them spayed or neutered and try to adopt them out.

You like to think that every animal has a home, and there is an owner pacing back and forth, waiting to hear the news that their loving pet has been found! This is not the case in my area. Owners drive out specifically to the desert to dump their animals. I have actually found owners that did have their animals chipped, only for the to tell me that they no longer wanted their pet. It is brutal in the desert. It can easily get to 110 degrees outside in the summer and below freezing in the winter. If the poor animal doesn't get it by a car, then they can easily die from dehydration, or freeze to death.

I don't know why we are a magnet for poor animal care, but it is a problem. We have a high kill animal shelter in our area that is constantly overcrowded with animals who have been surrendered or have been found. I have been able to help many pets in the past because of the help that I received from other individuals. We need more help in the Antelope Valley. More people need to spay and neuter their pets. Rescues are overcrowded and they don't have the resources to help the many pets in need out here. Just in my neighborhood I have seen about 20 feral cats, many who continue to breed and end up dead on the road, or have infections and suffer.

I am extremely grateful for programs like those of God's Creatures Ministry, but my hope is to open eyes on the ugly truth behind the unincorporated areas of Los Angeles County, like the Antelope Valley, Lancaster, Palmdale, Pearblossom, Littlerock, and Lake Los Angeles. Thank you for all of your donations and efforts to help us when we can't afford to care for the furry family members in our lives!

Lambie Lambie God's Creatures Ministry is committed to spreading God's compassion to all He has made based on The Scriptures. Although we are a Christian Ministry, we encourage all to have their own animal welfare committee in their community. We extend our resources to those who would like to learn more or begin their own God's Creatures Ministry as an extension of us. God created us to have a vegetarian diet and commissioned us to protect His animals. Instead, we have exploited them for our entertainment, fashion, appetite and useless, torturous research. These creatures have the right to live as they were created to live. Because we live IN this world, but are not OF this world, we strive to bring God's mercy and justice to all. We live in God's Kingdom now where Jesus, The Sacrificial Lamb, The Prince of Peace, The Lion of Judah reigns. We look forward to that day when all of creation will be 'set free from slavery to corruption and share in the glorious freedom of the children of God' (Romans 8:21) where a little child will lead and guide God's creatures (see Isaiah 11:5-9).
