Psalm 32:8 (NIV)
8. I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go;
I will counsel you with my loving eye on you
God has a specific plan and purpose for each of our lives. These plans come with individual guidance from God Himself. No one else can direct us into exactly what God has for us, except Our Creator who knows us intimately. When our focus is upon Him, and we are not dissuaded by anything else, He is able to bring us through the unknown territories we must travel through in order to reach our destinations. These small destinations are many and the process of arriving at each one will take a skilled and knowledgeable leader. With this verse, God is reassuring us of His devotion and desire to get us where He designed us to be. He is saying I am here and I know exactly what to do and all you have to do is follow me.
Our part is to trust and obey God regardless of what we feel like or what it looks like. Sometimes God may have us jumping hurdles in order to increase our strength. He may pull us off the road for a time because something needs to be put in order before we continue. Whatever it is we have to walk through in our own stories, God is present, instructing, encouraging and helping us every step of the way. He knows what our destiny looks like and He knows how to help us arrive stronger and more mature than when we started off on our Spiritual journey. If God is instructing us individually, that means He created us and formed our destiny so that it fits together. He created us with a distinct purpose in mind. So only He will have the intimate knowledge needed to understand the way for each of us to go.
God watches and waits for us to seek Him for wisdom and guidance. As we acknowledge Him we are inviting Him to walk ahead of us with our eyes solely upon Him. God our Father, wants us to succeed.
Challenge: Learn to see with the eyes of your heart and don’t rely on your physical sight because Satan will use your physical sight to bring doubt and fear and take you off course. Remember Peter after God called him out of the boat. Peter walked on water until he looked at the wind and waves and became afraid. Focus on Jesus.
God bless,
Marni

The purpose of this series is to encourage people to live as loving, compassionate, and peacemaking children of God: Jesus tells us to pray, "Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven." (Matthew 6:10) God tells us through Micah (6:8), "He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God." And we know from Revelation 21:4 that there will be no more mourning, or crying, or pain, or death. Thus, Christian living requires us to set the standards of these conditions here on earth for our fellow human beings, and for the other animals, as a witness to the rest of the world. To do otherwise is not Christian.
