PETA's not insight

Australian philosopher Peter Singer, author of Animal Liberation (ironically called the "bible" of the animal rights movement!) is an atheist. Ingrid Newkirk, Executive Director of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA)  is an atheist.

Ingrid Newkirk has written books for children on animal rights, like Kids Can Save the Animals. Since she's an atheist, I doubt if we'll see any books from her like Christians Can Save the Animals... but they can!

I've often wondered what's preventing conservative Christians -- afraid of "cults" or afraid of being "converted" to another religion -- from joining a SECULAR organization like PETA... or In Defense of Animals, Last Chance for Animals, Mercy For Animals, Friends Of Animals, Compassion Over Killing, Vegan Outreach, Vegan Action, etc.
