Frankincense
By C. Sparkie
An Animal Rights Poem from All-Creatures.org

All of God's creatures have rights, a fact that most people don't seem to recognize. This includes both human and non-human animals, but not all of them can speak for themselves.

Frankincense
By C. Sparkie

Do you see the Dog Star
burning brightly in the sky?
If you do, I pity you
because you're doomed to die

Frankincense and myrrh have we
to appease perverted lusts
do not torture man's best friend
take ME if you must

I will be the hostage
to appease your selfish gods
Come! Take me to the darkness
where nobody trods

I shall don a dogsuit
in eve's gloaming light
when Korean bully shows
to kill with all his might

This is dedicated to the millions of dogs, cats, and wildlife in South Korea and other Asian countries who are brutally tortured and killed for human consumption. Their cries have reached us.  For more information and to find out what you can do to stop the carnage visit IAKA
