If I could go back in time
Poetry and Music By Andrew Pell
If only I could go back in time.
When my life was simpler and truly divine,
If only I could go back to the first day we met.
It was a beautiful day, I knew the sun would never set.
Your lovely face was captured in my mind.
We were good friends and then one morning,
I knew I loved you.
Darling these words are true.
Not seeing you one more time is agony,
Dearest Angel you hold the key.
Let me see you one more time.
There would be eternal sunshine and no more rain
Let the eternal storms of life pass away.
Let the golden sunlight shine on a brand new day.
Let me go back one more time to start a fresh with you.
I will make all things new.
