Mullein Tea

Mullein Tea
(Mullein Tea) Mullein tea is made from the dried leaves of the mullein plant (wild flower). It sometimes is infused with dried flowers which gives the tea a sweeter taste. Brew the tea by putting two teaspoons of the dry leaves per cup of water, let it steep for 10 minutes and then filter it to prevent the fine hairs from staying in the tea which could cause some irritation. According to what we found on the internet, scientific experiments and medical studies have shown that mullein has expectorant and anti-bacterial properties, both of which are needed in treating respiratory disorders. Mullein tea a great home remedy if you have flu or a cold with lots of congestion, and we have found that it helped us.

Vegan FlagThe above recipe is in keeping with God's creation intent (Genesis 1:29-31): 'Then God said, "I give you every seed-bearing plant on the face of the whole earth and every tree that has fruit with seed in it. They will be yours for food. And to all the beasts of the earth and all the birds of the air and all the creatures that move on the ground-- everything that has the breath of life in it-- I give every green plant for food." And it was so. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.' (NIV) Let no animal suffer or die that we may live!
