As part of Primate Liberation Week, we will be bringing attention to the kinds of torture going on at the Infant Primate Research Center housed at the University of Washington's Magnuson Health Science Center. We are going to let the public know just what goes on behind closed doors at the UW, and what their tax money pays for. We will have signs, but please feel free to make your own.

If you would like to help, or have questions, please contact [email protected]
For more information about what is going on at the UW see:

EVENT: Five "naked" activists body painted as animals in a UBC laboratory. The centerpiece of the staged event will be an activist posing as a monkey in a restraint chair being administered electroconvulsive shock. Another activist will be painted as a cat on an operating table. Two other activists, one as a monkey, the other as a rat, will be in cages. Several activists will act as "researchers." A sign will read, "UBC Laboratory - Public Keep Out." Literature will be distributed to passersby to educate them about animal research at UBC, as well as the plight of non-human primates used in research. Monkeys at UBC are being given electroconvulsive shock, blinded, and administered addictive drugs.
