Moo-ving people toward compassionate living
From Nigel - 9 Mar 2008
I was watching the news today and something came up about cows being tortured in a California slaughterhouse, and honestly when I saw the things they were doing to those poor hopeless cows I wanted to throw up.
I want to do something so bad, but I don't know what. It's not right and not fair what they're doing to those cows. Yeah, I eat meat and yeah, they're at the slaughterhouse ... but that does not give them the right to treat them the way they were treating them. Something needs to be done, period.
I was wondering if you can tell me what I can do.
Thank you for writing and for your concern.
The fact of the matter is that there is no such thing as "humane
slaughter;" it's an oxymoron.
The only ways to stop these atrocities is to stop putting money into the pockets of these torture businesses, and to do everything we can to inform the public to also take action and speak out to inform even more people.
In the Love of the Lord,
Frank and Mary
